Okay, so most of you are aware that I am now a full time employee and therefore have had 10 hours shaved off of my time. I also haven't written anything for about two weeks. I need constant influence.[Poll #1716138]

I think this sounds like an excellent idea. I've never done words wars myself, but the idea that i could write whenever it suited me over a 7 day period sounds much more manageable for me.

Word Wars help me because I know that I only have to do it for so long. It makes it easier for me to just do it. In a 15 minute word war I average 750-900 words if my story is flowing. So they work out well for me, but it's such a bitch to get them organized and blah, blah, blah.

Soooo, I'm hoping that with the threat of fanfiction being taken away for a day or two, it might have the same effect on me. :)

Oh would that my muse could operate like this.

Also: 10K O.o ...admittedly I don't think I've ever written that much for fic ._.

10k was just an example. Though I'd say that they probably won't be less than 5k.

Maybe everyone can set their own quotas. Minimum of 1k

LOL, I clicked the last one because I read through and did half the poll, before I left it to go... umm, yeah *fill in the blank* BUT I IS BACK. And I would be open to a WW. I was thinking of having a small one today, just 'cause I really need to write. D:

*has high quota*

Well, I know that HD20 does the weekend word wars, but it seems that they're only doing them once a month and that isn't good for me.

I need constant motivation. Need, need, need.

So I was thinking that this might be good.

I'd love to do this, but I am not sure I'd meet the 10K quota, because RL has been eating all my time. Does it "have" to be fanfiction? Because I have a paper due at the end of March and I haven't even written a single sentence O.O

I've never done a word war per se, but me and a friend did little "writing for 30 mins, talking for 10 on MSN and quoting and resolving issues and then 30 more mins of writing". Don't know whether that's the same thing.

That's pretty much the same thing.

10k was just an example, it's be my ideal quota, but I think I might leave it down to the individual. You pick your quota and your punishment.

And no, it doesn't have to be fanfiction, just has to be writing of some kind.

It's designed to help you focus on the things that you need to get done so that you can get it over with and reduce some stress.

This sounds like the [livejournal.com profile] gsd_rtfn comm.

It might be. I haven't read through that comm. I don't think I'm looking for a community though. Just a circle of friends.
