Draco wished there was something he could do to ease the pain he saw in that green gaze. The boy came so often, he was the one shining moment in his day when he would show. It was almost as if he were haloed in a light where darkness couldn’t touch him.

He wanted that, wanted him. The boy spoke to him, comforted him, but also confused him. He made Draco feel as if he were missing something, like a puzzle piece misplaced.

Someday…he’d figure it out and he’d be with that boy, but not today.

He’d wait for him.
