Inner Child
Nov. 23rd, 2010 03:04 pmSo. My inner child came out today. Apparently it likes pink, bunnies, and cheap McDonald's toys. (Actually, I like crappy McDonald's toys all the time.)
SO!
My mom goes and gets lunch at McDonald's and decides to get a Happy Meal. I pay her no mind until she directs my attention to the toy she got. The conversation went something like this....
Mom: Look at this.
I look and I see just a toy bag and I don't really much care about.
Me: What is it?
Mom: A watch.
Okay, now I REALLY don't care. A watch from McDonald's? Seriously? It's probably cheap, plastic and now my mom is coming over to show me.
So I look at this watch and it just happened. After the fact it was like I was looking in from someone else's eyes.
I cackled, LITERALLY CACKLED, snatched the watch away and hugged it to my chest proclaiming, "MINE!"
-Face palms and flashes her awesome new watch cause it actually fits!-
Yeah.
It's a Sanrio character. (Yes, Hello Kitty.) Apparently it's the bunny called "My Melody" They did a collection of watches back in 2009 (something I learned trying to find someone dork enough to take a picture of this watch, no one is) but this is different. The band is nondescript, plain ol' pink, but the face of the clock is actually shaped like My Melody's head and it's about as long as my wrist. (The clock face, not the band, cause the band is... ya know... supposed to do that.)
So yeah. I have a bitchin' new clock that is four minutes too fast because I got antsy and I'm too lazy to press the fucking button 56 more times to make it right.
I'm felling pretty awesome.
( My Melody )
Okay, so apparently there is a happymeal.com, and they're showing all the watches. If you're curious to see my badass new watch you can see it at this link.
Looking at all of them... there isn't one that I don't like. XD I gotta pokemon this and catch them all. SO YOU SHOULD GET HAPPY MEALS FOR GIRLS (though Transformers for boys is pretty awesome too) AND GIVE ME YOUR WATCHES!
I'm only semi-joking. Don't do that, but I wouldn't say no if you did. XD
