Something For Online Shoppers

I wish I had learned about this site earlier today because I made a purchase with hottopic earlier, but! I just learned about a site called ebates and basically what it is is a cash back program.

That sounds really hokey, but it's not. There are a lot of stores that do this and each have a different percentage (that can change from time to time) Right now Bath and Body Works is at 3%. So if I let ebates know about my order before I make it then I'll get 3% back on my order.

(And letting them know is REALLY easy. You just type your store in the search, and if they have that store in their list you click the link and then they send you an email telling you that a ticket is open for that site. Then you make your order and you see the amount back in usually about three days.)

It doesn't sound like a lot but if you use ebay, then you'll realize how that small percentage can add up, especially if you do a lot of online shopping. (AND THEY EVEN HAVE A CASH BACK FOR EBAY! So that's like TWICE the cash back! You get your points from ebay and ebates. Yeah. Freaking awesome.)

This is the perfect opportunity to start using it if you plan to do Black Friday, Cyber Monday, or Christmas shopping online. The three biggest spending holidays known to (wo)man.

You can get a check, have it go to your paypal account, or you can even have ebates send your cash back to a charity which I think is pretty awesome.

The billing goes quarterly, so you get a check with your cash back every three months. Note: If you have under 5 dollars at the end of your quarter then it will roll over to the next month. It's still there, it's just not given until you get over 5 dollars. Which I think should be pretty easy to add up in three months.

ALSO! This works for people outside of the US as well! As long as the store ships to your country then you'll get the rewards just like anyone else. However, you'll get cash back in USD, so you'll have to do your own conversions on how much that is in your given area.

There is no credit card information that's needed or anything like that. You simply put in your email and a password and that is absolutely ALL you have to do to sign up. You will have to put in details later for them to know where to send your money, but there is nothing that you need to do until you're ready to.

If I remember correctly all these percentages are double on Black Friday, possibly on Cyber Monday as well, but I'm not even 50% on that one. It was just hearsay on what someone else thought.

Black Friday

This is the real first Black Friday that I've taken advantage of and it was pretty fun. ...If only because I partook virtually. I'm not going into those crazy crowds. No thanks.

I was... really greedy. Everything I got, I got for me. Heh. Some things I just wanted, some things I needed, some things I wanted to try.

I got a few good peppermint items. -Shimmies-

I ended up ordering from four different places... Hot Topic, Bath and Body Works, Urban Decay, and LUSH Cosmetics.
