Heartbroken

snugglemintI went out to lunch today with my brother and sister in law and we saw the most GORGEOUS kitten.
It was a calico, and I wish I'd at least gotten a picture of her.
It was one of those things. I WANTED that baby. She was supposed to be mine. I didn't even know if my mom would let me have her but I was going to bring her home anyway and ignore it if she said no.
But when it came down to it she was just too skiddish. I almost got my hands on her once but then she wouldn't come back again. There was a slightly wooded area beside the restaurant and it was covered over with crawling roots and thorny vines and things. There were just too many places for her to hide.
She's sort of taken care of though. There was a tin foil pan out there with food piled high and a cat bowl full of water. I think she'll be okay, I just wanted her to be with me.
I cried the whoooooooole way home.
Someone is giving away some Calico kittens though and I'm going to go get one tomorrow.
What am I gonna name her?
Well, fuck me, apparently. The person that told me that there were two Calico's being given away didn't mention that the person wanted to give both away to the same person and that someone had already wanted to come and get them.
I knew that someone wanted to get ONE, but hadn't come to get it yet. So, I guess they haven't gotten them because she can't catch the one.
So. No kitten for me.
