I just finished a story that I strongly recommend, by the ever lovely, oldenuf2nobetter.

It's called, "That Which Divides Us" and I love every minute of it. There is a great deal of angst, but it is brought around in a very believable manner.

There are some original characters, but they were not so intrusive on the main characters that you start to despise them. In fact, I thoroughly enjoyed Michael and Lisette. (And Margie is a hoot.)

I will say that the story has Pansy played as a big part, and she is portrayed in a manner that I often see her in my head after Hogwarts. She is so great here.

On the other hand, if you are a big lover of Hermione, then you may want to develop a thicker skin or move on.

It's is nearly 130k words spanning 24 chapters and one fantastic epilogue. All loose ends are very nicely tied and you're left with a warm fuzzy feeling of the perfect ending.

This one is a one-shot and it gave me a good laugh or two. It was light-hearted and good-natured. It's definitely a pick-me-up kind of story that might be best situated between two angst stories.

It is a 5,363 word fic.

Do not let the summary or the letter in the beginning deter you. Honestly, the letter had me wondering what the hell was going on, but it was Harry's response of, "What the fuck" that kept me going.

Overcome it though, for it's Medieval Night, and anything can happen. ^ ~

This time it's just pure, unadulterated fluff.

The story is by the lovely leo_draconis, whom I've come to respect immensely as a writer.

It's a short one-shot where some see it fit to play evil pranks on Draco for his past transgressions.

I WILL say though... (And I hope she doesn't take this personal as she's on my friends list) that Draco was not in character by way of what we're used to. This is not wholly a bad thing, and in one way it makes sense. He's softer here, his harder outer shell is gone. Perhaps by necessity to survive with his situations as they are.

This one is 2,136 words.

Hopefully people don't get mad that this is my third post in a day. XD

This one is one that I gave much rebuke to for reasons surprisingly unknown to myself.

"A Slytherin in Gryffindor's Clothing" is a story about the switching of parallel universe characters, basically. Draco is now a Gryffindor and Harry a Slytherin. Everything is backwards and somethings haven't even happened. Due to this, it's almost like a brand new story, you never really know what is going to happen next because you know nothing of this new "world."

At one point I thought I had tried it out and disliked it, but that couldn't have been the case as I was instantly engaged.

The fic is 38,228 words, so it's not too long in length and completely engaging.

Over all, I would say that you should read it... on general principle. ^ ~
