Sooo where have I been?
Good question, why don't we ask myself. No, no. I'll wait.
Let's put it this way, I keep clicking away and doing other things even as I try and write this very simple "sorry, but I suck" post.
Yeah. I've clicked away about three times already and i have to keep reprimanding myself and pulling myself back in.
I came in to work this morning thinking that I would make a post and then get right to work on making up the challenges that I've missed, but then my internet decided to be down for the first hour, made me pull out my kindle, and now for some reason I can't pull myself away from plushies. I really want to make plushies. Especially of the HP variety.
That'd be pretty awesome.
Anyway. I had full intentions of being a good little writer and writing every single day for every single challenge and being generally all around awesome. Right. Isn't that how I start every month? And where am I at the end of said "awesome writing month?" Not awesome.
I know for a fact that I'll be finishing the "10 Reasons to Love a Malfoy" series and probably doing the "10 Reasons to Love a Potter" sequel. Perhaps with a surprise mini arc to tie it all up.
I decided to use slythindor's picture posts. So I'll be referencing them in order, even if my days are severely disjointed and out of whack.
I may or may not be doing the other challenge for the thirty days. We'll see. Maybe I'll get out of my funk and it'll all be okay.
-Yawns- Most of my issue is that I've been less of a recluse lately, in a sense. Less of a virtual recluse. I've been playing IMVU, yeah, yeah, yeah. ANYWAY! I used to play with it and then I stopped, but one of my old friends dropped me a line, so I got on to talk to them... and ended up making more friends.

Yeah. So... yeah. I suck.
I'll find the time to finish a few stocking stuffers and these arcs though, if I can do more then that's great, but my main goal is to just do what I've promised to deliver.

Date: 2010-12-06 07:35 pm (UTC)Between shoveling snow, Christmas shopping, time at the hospital, & relatives, I haven't been able to keep up with anyone's fest work. *sadface*
At least I have everything bookmarked so I can have a feast of reading later on. :¬)

Date: 2010-12-06 09:41 pm (UTC)My father (he has advanced Alzheimer's disease) lives at the Veteran's hospital now & we usually visit him every day (not today though since we're snowed in). I'm good—feeling a bit worn out—but good enough.
*glomps you*

Date: 2010-12-06 10:21 pm (UTC)<3 It takes a really strong person to go there every day. I'm sure he appreciates it immensely.

Date: 2010-12-15 10:19 am (UTC)I was going to get an ereader on Black Friday but decided that I would rather sleep at 5AM, so I only went to Wal-Mart (closest store) for the Midnight sale.

Date: 2010-12-15 11:25 am (UTC)I haven't really tried the browser, I've seen no reason to. Nor have I bought any books so I can't comment on that either.
I would say the only real downfall (which isn't really one at all except for the fact that I'm lazy and haven't wanted to convert everything) is that it doesn't open html. So all the html you sent me, I'll have to convert to pdf to be able to read on the kindle.
It's nice though, you get to categorize your fics. Like I have a folder for mpreg and vampire. So I can still make my way around.

Date: 2010-12-15 01:15 pm (UTC)Hmm, Kindle might still be able to convert the files itself through your Kindle e-mail address.
(My resource: link 1 (latest gen) (http://www.amazon.com/gp/help/customer/display.html?nodeId=200505520&#recognize) | link 2 (gen 1) (http://www.amazon.com/gp/help/customer/display.html?nodeId=200140600&#converting))
And Calibre would be able to help here too. You don't even have to zip the files if your adding one by one, it'll zip it itself (the second add option). And just use WinRAR to batch convert if you want to create a bunch of zips in one go for adding.
Here's a small example of one of the fics converted with Calibre: direct download (http://www.fileden.com/files/2010/9/20/2974183//Example_-_Mind_of_Its_Own.pdf)
Let me know how it goes.
